I am a 25 year old woman living in Los Angeles, California. For me, veganism is the end of a journey that began over a year ago. I spent the first 24 years of my life following the typical American diet: fast food, burgers, ice cream, white flour, etc. You name it, and if it was bad for me, I ate it. One day I had had enough, and began working more organic ingredients into my diet, including fruits and vegetables. A year later, the girl who once turned her nose up at anything green has gone green herself. I follow the principles of a plant-based diet which includes whole grains, fresh produce, and lots of flavor.
This blog chronicles my adventures into the world of vegan cooking. For me, learning to cook vegan means learning how to re-invent my favorite meals into something fresher and healthier. I still enjoy things like pizza, ice cream, and pancakes, I have just learned how to do so in a healthy way.
There are no bad foods, just bad ingredients.
